FAQ

Answers to the questions people actually ask.

If you're trying to work out what TrustDPV is, how the score works, what stays private, and what gets shown publicly — this is the page.

What is TrustDPV?

TrustDPV is a portable trust profile. It gives you one page that brings together verified platforms, evidence-backed trust signals, endorsements, and a trust score that can follow you across the internet.

What is the trust score?

The trust score is a transparent score out of 1,000 based on visible inputs like profile completion, verified platforms, endorsements, and account age. It is designed to be inspectable, not mysterious.

Can I see how the score was earned?

Yes. Public profiles show the trust score and a breakdown of where the points came from. TrustDPV is meant to show the reasons behind trust, not just a number.

What gets shown publicly?

Your public profile can show your username, display name, bio, verified platform labels, trust score, endorsements, and trust evidence. Verified platform usernames are masked on public profiles for privacy.

What stays private?

Sensitive internal identifiers, session data, passwords, reset tokens, and private account details are not shown publicly. Verified platform connections are represented in a privacy-preserving way on the public profile.

How do platform verifications work?

Supported platforms can be verified through secure connection flows. Once verified, they count toward your trust score and appear as verified on your profile.

Can endorsements be faked?

Endorsements are limited inside the platform and weighted by the trust of the person giving them. They help, but they are capped so they cannot dominate the score on their own.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. TrustDPV includes account deletion in the dashboard. Deletion removes your profile, connected platforms, endorsements, and related trust evidence.

What if I forget my password?

You can use the password reset flow from the login page. Reset links expire, are single-use, and all existing sessions are invalidated after a successful reset.

Is TrustDPV a credit score or background check?

No. TrustDPV is not a financial score and not a background check. It is a trust profile built from signals you choose to connect and actions taken inside the platform.

Who is TrustDPV for?

It is especially useful for marketplace sellers, freelancers, communities, creators, and anyone whose credibility gets trapped inside one platform.

Where do I start?

Create your account, verify your email, fill in your profile, connect supported platforms, and build out your public trust profile from there.
